Nedfield subsidiary files for suspension of payment

2L International BV, a 100% subsidiary of Nedfield NV, has filed for suspension of payment at the Court of Utrecht at 4 June 2009. The court has granted a temporary suspension of payment and appointed an administrator.
This suspension of payment has been filed by 2L International BV, without advising their shareholder and their supervisory board in advance concerning this action and without asking their permission. Nedfield wishes to remark that it emphasizes the fact that it contests the followed procedure, i.e. the way how this process developed. Nedfield was extremely surprised by the way this activity developed, especially since Nedfield, in light of what happened recently in a similar scenario in Germany, was working out alternatives for the Nedfield Group, which also would result in a viable future perspective for 2L International BV. Nedfield will now discuss these alternatives with the appointed administrator.
At this moment Nedfield can’t project the impact of this new situation. As soon as more information is available concerning the consequences for Nedfield, an announcement will be made through a press release.
